Halloween 2011

We got a little behind this year and didn't get to our pumpkin carving until Halloween day. This was Karissa's first experience with pumpkin carving and she thought it was great.  Daddy helped her cut it open, clean it and then carve it.  I was able to help Tyson when he needed it but he pretty much did the majority on his own except the carving of the face, he wanted me to handle that.  He did a great job drawing the face he wanted.  Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the finished pumpkins.  I was in the middle of making dinner when all this was going on so I was a bit distracted...sorry Tyson and Karissa!!!

After dinner it was time to get ready for Trick-or-Treating.  Both of the kids were SOOOOOO... excited and when they found out that Katelyn was going to join us, well that just doubled the excitement!  This was Karissa's first time trick-or-treating and the first time Tyson REALLY got into it.  They had a blast going door to door, and Karissa thought it was so cool that she only had to say "trick-or-treat" and people would give her candy (who knew, right).  I think both the kids would have gone to every house in the surrounding neighborhoods if we would have let them, and if it wasn't chilly outside.  They had so much fun and they both looked so cute in their costumes! 

I honestly didn't think Karissa would want to touch the slimy inside of the pumpkin, but she was a trooper and pulled most of the seeds out herself.
