Hello everyone! Just thought we would share a few pictures from our latest trip to Northern California to visit my family. We had the opportunity to spend a few days in Monterey Bay and go to the aquarium there. Tyson loved looking at all the different types of sea life, especially the big fish. He even touched some of the seaweed in the touch ponds, although he was a bit more fascinated with the "ball" (drain cover) than anything. There was a large play and learn area for kids that Tyson just loved. There were different displays to teach about the larger mammals and the various sounds they make. He went through and touched all the buttons to hear each one. It was fun to see how excited and amazed Tyson was with everything he experienced! Aside from the aquarium, we explored the pier and Cannery Row. Ben had never been to Monterey so it was fun to show him around a bit. There was a "bird guy" on the pier that had at least ten different exotic birds that we could hold. Tyson was a little unsure of
that but I sure loved to see them! I have always wanted a Scarlet Macaw!
Just before we left Monterey, we took Tyson to the huge playground that was in town. He was so excited when he saw all the play equipment, he had a hard time deciding what to play on first.

Just before we left Monterey, we took Tyson to the huge playground that was in town. He was so excited when he saw all the play equipment, he had a hard time deciding what to play on first. Tyson's favorite was the "super-fast" slide that he and Ben went down numerous times. What made it "super-fast" was Ben giving Tyson a push down. Mom had to be ready to catch him when he reached the bottom to avoid injury, but Tyson loved every minute of it! We had a great time!
