Father/Son Bonding Time
When daddy gets home from work it's Daddy/Tyson playtime and boy does Tyson love it, as you can see! On this particular day Ben took Tyson out to play in the water. It started with just the hose, then when daddy attached the different sprinkler heads Tyson made daddy his target. Tyson quickly learned that the sprinklers sprayed further so he was able to catch Ben off his guard several times. It's so fun and cute to watch them play together!!!

4th of July Weekend
We had the opportunity to head up to Idaho for the 4th to spend some time with Emily, Mike and little David. We had a BBQ with Mike's parents and rode the 4-wheeler and go-cart they had. Tyson took one ride on the go-cart with daddy, but I think daddy scared him by going a little faster than he should have. Tyson sure got off in a hurry and he wanted nothing to do with the go-cart when mommy tried to coax him on with her. Mike and Ben moved on to the bigger toy (4-wheeler) shortly after and they sure seemed to have fun with that. Mike was pretty good at driving on the two side wheels and Ben would leave us in the dust as he sped down the road. By the time they were done playing Tyson was done with all the noise, so when we finally broke out the fireworks anything that made a whistling noise made Tyson upset. We managed to get a picture of Tyson with a sparkler, but that was the extent of the fireworks for him.
We thought (uncle) Mike would lose it a couple of times but he is GOOD!
Tyson's first and only firework for the night.
On July 5th, we all headed out to the sand dunes to play. Ben and Mike rode the 4-wheelers while Emily, Tyson and I hung out by the shallow lake playing in the sand. Tyson loved to have Auntie Emmy make sand balls for him.
Tyson actually got on the 4-wheeler with daddy and let him take him for a short ride. I was surprised considering his experience the day before!

Day at Thanksgiving Point
Tyson and I took our first trip down to Thanksgiving Point to go to the petting zoo. (It was a much needed break from a large embroidery order I have been working on)! A friend/neighbor of mine and her little boy went down with us. We got down there as soon as they opened so we were able to enjoy our time without crowds of people, plus the weather was cooler, which was nice. Tyson was pretty much in awe of the large plastic cow that was in the main building, then once we got outside he headed straight for the ponies. Of course when it came time to actually get on one for his first pony ride he was not as excited. I had to constantly reassure him that he was okay and he was holding on to me pretty tight but once it was over he leaned over, gave the nice pony a pet and he was ready to get off. He enjoyed watching them from behind the fence.
Next it was over to pet the sheep then to see the turkeys, peacocks and chickens. One of the turkeys was"gobbling" away at him. I am not sure he knew what to think of this strange (ugly) looking bird.
We continued our way around and got to where the goats were. I bought some corn so that Tyson could feed them. At first he was afraid of them; when they would reach their heads toward him he would quickly take a few steps back and proceed to throw the corn at them. The goats didn't seem to mind being pelted in the face, as long as they were being fed. After some encouragement and reassurance though Tyson got to where he would give each goat one kernel at a time. It didn't take him long to make friends with the goat.
